Would you like to practice off season?  Are you looking for exercise?

 

Play wheelchair basketball on the playground, go for a bike ride along the canal or participate in a community based 5k. AzDS offers an equipment lending program so athletes are able to access adaptive equipment whenever needed. A wide range of equipment is available, including:

  • Court Sport Wheelchairs

  • Racing Wheelchairs

  • Handcycles

  • Tandem Bicycles

  • Recumbent Tadpole Cycles and more!

Equipment lending is subject to availability and being placed on a wait list may apply. Quantities are limited and sizes may vary. Prior to equipment lending all athletes must meet with AzDS personnel for a proper equipment fitting, gear training and safety briefing.

Individuals will be held responsible for the transportation of the equipment and a pick-up truck, van, or SUV is required for collection. Individuals will be held liable as stated in the signed property loan agreement.

Please note that equipment is available for use (free of charge) during the sport-specific program season to any registered participant in that sport. Equipment rental fees are applicable if a participant chooses to rent equipment for home use during the off-season.

Fees:

  • $30 per month

  • $75 for 3 months
